AY Bio – 

Ambwene Allen Yessayah, better known by his stage name as A.Y., is a Tanzanian bongo flava artist. He was born on July 5, 1981 in Mtwara, Southern part of Tanzania. He began his career with the group S.O.G. in 1996. He decided to go solo in 2002. AY is among the first bongo flava artists to commercialize hip hop. He was member of the musical group known as East Coast Army, but now he’s no longer part of the group. He is still releasing songs and albums collaborating most with an ex-coast artist MwanaFA.

Nasibu Abdul Jumma (born 2 October 1989), popularly known by his stage name Diamond Platnumz (or simply Diamond), is a Bongo Flava recording artist and dancer from Tanzania. He is best known for his hit song “Number One”. Diamond has won numerous awards at Channel O and the Prestigious HiPipo Music Awards. He performed at the Big Brother Africa 7 eviction show in May 2012 and also toured Europe,America and Asia. Diamond is considered influential among his fans especially Maria J, and is said to be the most loved and decorated Tanzanian artist at the moment. He is believed to be the highest selling Tanzanian artist of ringtones by mobile phone companies currently, as well as being among the artists earning the highest income in the African Great Lakes region’s music industry. Also Diamond Platnumz holds a record of the highest paid artist in East Africa per One Show Diamond platnumz was paid 100 million Tsh in one show known as Tigo Kiboko Yao Concert his biggest steps currently was winning the MTV ema’s best worldwide act.
